自豪感 vs 自滿
Pride vs complacency
成功人士充滿了自豪感。對于我自己來說,我對我的家庭背景以及我的出身感到自豪。但是自滿又是另外一回事,而且會有相當(dāng)大負(fù)面影響。自滿的人通常不大能聽進(jìn)別人的批評,他們充滿了防御性,對于別人對他們的評價(jià)又過度敏感。結(jié)果他們不會是一個(gè)好的聽眾,也不能很好地觀察別人。太過于驕傲,甚是自負(fù),會讓原本聰明的人無法充分發(fā)揮出應(yīng)有的才智,因?yàn)樽载?fù)會妨礙他們的學(xué)習(xí)能力,阻礙他們尋求建議幫助,并且識別他們的錯(cuò)誤。因此,必須要區(qū)分自豪感與自負(fù),然后分析你自己在哪種程度上屬于哪一種。
Successful people are full of pride. For myself, I am proud of my family background and my Chinese origin. But complacency is another matter, and it will have a considerable negative impact. Complacent people are usually less likely to listen to other people's criticism. They are defensive and overly sensitive to what others think of them.
